The story behind, Grace Compass Church is that we a real people on a journey  building people who become the church  that will leave the mark of Christ wherever they are living, working, and ministering. The ultimate purpose our authentic Biblical Community is to be the church in our communities, neighborhoods and sphere of influence. To be the church to us means to be the hands, heart, and feet of Jesus in very real and meaningful ways together in community that is organic and not organizational.  Jesus Answered Life’s greatest questions with two simple profound Faith Goals: Love God with all your heart and love others as yourself. It is our relationship with God and our relationship with others that bring identity, meaning and purpose to our lives together.  

We are getting more involved with helping people one on one, and meeting in small micro-churches in different parts of the city that are developed around individuals God given gifts and passions. This will bring Christ into the center of very messy lives and helps them see hope in the midst of the mess. Our discipleship method is very different and is individualized based on coaching method which coaches someone one on one and through small groups through their  journey of faith. Most of the people we minister to are never been churched so discipleship is personalized.  

As a church plant we have had to learn more about the culture of the community that we have been reaching and have had to implement significant changes in reaching the unchurched in the midst of communities that they have already in place. We are actively working with other non-profits, ministries, and established churches to partner in reaching this community in which we live and are looking forward to building people who become the church in the context of individual community. After looking closely at the early church and the apostolic church fathers more closely we are attempting to resemble the first century church in the context of our post Christian culture.

 Therefore, we have established this authentic faith community to care about the needs of others.  We are a Church where we have thrown away our masks. We realize no one is perfect and everyone is welcome to be real and authentic with whom God made them to be.  We encouraged our community to accept and value people just as they are.  We want to provide a safe place to become like Christ in Community of faith. This is only a snapshot of our redeemed community of faith.

Why Did You Start Grace Compass Church? 

We started Grace Compass Church because we believe tt people matter to God – in fact, they are the pinnacle of His creation.  Not only that, but every person was created by God with a need to connect in authentic community with others. Together we are better in Community than when we are alone.  We want to make a differance in our community together and have provided a safeharbor to the many who have left the church or who have never participated in church. In America, many have left the Church or refuse to get involved because it often lacked relevance, seemed too operate in Hypocrisy (duplicity), got political, were judgmental of others, and unfortunately focused on the Rules and behavior instead of belief and relationship.
